Who in your opinion , has advanced the most in this region ? If you ’ re referring to a country , I must say it ’ s Singapore . The technology , the positive drive from the government , the support from community , the connections and the infrastructure is abundance . How has MIEA advanced and how do you position MIEA amongst the AI developer in the country ? The idea started 3 years ago . This is our first year serving clients . The first two years was a long journey of ideation and prototyping . In the early days , it was economically straining with low takeups . The R & D was an endless iterative process . Eventually , we built an AI bot that could , with every new set of clinic information , calibrate all that data and turned it into a personalised clinical assistant to engage patients .
We are a medical and aesthetic centric AI patient engagement provider . We serve clinics and facilities of all sizes and across all specialties . From aesthetic to orthopaedic , or radiology to nursing homes .
Healthcare technology is Southeast Asia isn ’ t well established . For example , Electronic Medical Records ( EMR ) systems are not widely in place , particularly for smaller clinics . While some see it as an obstacle , it ’ s not a bad thing for us . The Implementation of AI requires integration into systems . Getting connected into an already established digital ecosystem is harder than starting from ground zero and building it all the way up . There ’ s no baggage of legacy systems . No historical data or outdated SOPs . It ’ s a clean sheet on which we can build an exciting blueprint for our clinic customers , and that ’ s exciting for us .
