About Us gutCARE was founded with the aim of providing Singapore with a specialized digestive group practice . We have 6 clinics conveniently located in major private hospitals across Singapore . gutCARE brings together established gastroenterologists , each with their own subspecialty , with the aim of providing specialized digestive care under one roof . gutCARE patients have access to a complete team of specialists and services , normally found only in established gastroenterology departments in renowned institutions in Singapore and the region .

Gastroenterology is one of the fastest developing fields in medicine , with rapid advancements in such varied fields as Endoscopy , Liver Disorders , Functional Disorders , Gut Motility , Pancreatobiliary Disorders , and Digestive Cancers . Each subspecialty field requires years of additional focused training beyond standard specialization training before one can be considered an expert . It is not possible for a single doctor to be an expert in all the different areas . gutCARE brings together experts in each subspecialty area , to ensure that our patients have access to the correct level of expertise for any digestive disorder . It is often difficult for patients to know which subspecialty area is appropriate for them . gutCARE addresses this problem by giving our patients full access to our entire team . Complex cases are managed by a team rather than a single doctor , with input from the appropriate expert in the subspecialty area . Group Practice gutCARE utilizes a group practice model . This offers the convenience of multiple clinic locations and multiple doctors for patients to choose from . gutCARE utilizes a specialist team concept . No patient is fully reliant on a single doctor , and there will always be a doctor available to see any gutCARE patient even when the patient ’ s regular doctor is not available . gutCARE is trusted and recognized by all the corporate insurance panels , and can offer direct billing for panel patients . At a group level , our charges are harmonized across clinics and doctors , and are consistent with national benchmarks , fee guidelines and ethical codes .

Endoscopic Services gutCARE offers the full spectrum of general and advanced endoscopic services , from diagnostic and screening endoscopy , to complex and novel advanced procedures . These include : gastroscopy , colonoscopy , standard and advanced polyp removal , piles ligation , endoscopic ultrasound ( EUS ), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography ( ERCP ), small intestine endoscopy , endoscopic dilation and stenting , feeding tube placement and exchange , and endoscopic emergencies . Our procedures are performed in fully equipped Endoscopy Centres , with contemporary technology and equipment . For more difficult procedures , equipment may be catered specially from overseas for our patients . It is difficult for patients to know what level of endoscopic expertise they require . The majority of specialists offer basic expertise in general endoscopy , and do not spend extra years of training to offer the more advanced procedures . gutCARE will ensure that each procedure is performed by the specialist with the appropriate expertise , and that our patients have access to our full range of endoscopic procedures .

Specialised Services gutCARE provides an in-house suite of specialised services in the various subspecialty fields . These are possible because of our subspecialty focus and group practice model . The specialised services include : motility studies , manometry , combined pH-impedance monitoring for reflux disorders , hydrogen / methane breath testing for sugar intolerances and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth ( SIBO ), FibroScan liver stiffness measurement , specialist dietetics , and clinical psychology . Our patients have full access to these services , which are otherwise only available in the large academic public hospitals in Singapore .
