We became a pioneer of Assisted Reproductive Technology( ART) in Indonesia in 1987. The first baby born from in vitro fertilization( IVF) was delivered in 1988 at RSAB Harapan Kita.
As a developing country in Asia, one of Indonesia’ s main visions is to achieve highincome nation status as part of Golden Indonesia 2045 goal. To reach this milestone, Indonesia must focus on promotive and preventive health programs by improving public health quality.
Preparing for the Golden Generation 2045 starts with ensuring the health and quality of life of today’ s babies and children-the future leaders of the nation. According to data from Indonesia’ s Central Bureau of Statistics( BPS) in 2020, out of 270 million people, the population breakdown is as follows: 25.87 % are Millennials( born 1981-1996), 27.94 % are Gen Z( born 1997-2012), 10.88 % are Post-Gen Z( born 2013 and beyond). These numbers highlight that young generations make up a significant portion of Indonesia’ s total population.
According to the official website of the Indonesian Ministry of Health( kemkes. go. id), the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, stated that efforts to improve public health should not only focus on treating diseases but should prioritize preventive strategies. In line with this approach, RSAB Harapan Kita provides continuum of care services, covering all stages of life— from preconception, prenatal, natal, postnatal, and perinatal care to adulthood and even geriatric care.
As a women and children health center under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and became a Class A specialized hospital with advanced equipment and human resources, from specialists to sub-specialists all in one place, we provide three priorities healthcare programs including( 1) Assisted Reproductive Technology( ART),( 2) Integrated Perinatal Care and Birth Defects Integrated Centre / BIDIC and( 3) Pediatric and maternal surgical services.

We have established ourselves as a center of advanced IVF technology, featuring a new generation time-lapse embryoscopy with Al and preimplantation genetic testing. Our genetic counseling and molecular genetic services are part of the Biomedical and Genome Science Initiative( BGSi) by the Ministry of Health of Indonesia, serving as a hub for maternal, child, and assisted reproductive technology.
