A Look into the Comprehensive Treatment Options for Oncology Patients Following the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic , disruptions were seen across different facets of the world ’ s economy ; entertainment , travel , retail , hospitality , and healthcare , above all . Having altered the oncology care landscape , the pandemic has also changed the way patients are managed . PHKL also strives to continuously equip them with the latest innovations in cancer treatment technology . The Cancer Centre @ PHKL was one of the first hospitals in APAC to utilise the Leksell Gamma Knife ®, which dramatically improved the success rates of brain stereotactic radiosurgery . The team at the Cancer Centre @ PHKL is also well versed in Nuclear Diagnostics and Therapeutics ( or Medicine ), meaning that they are proficient in safely utilising radioactive substances to carry out precise , noninvasive diagnosis and treatment .
With a line-up of treatment options that range from screening and diagnostics , surgery and therapy as well as post-treatment care , patients are able to find comfort and solace in getting all of them done in one clinic . Furthermore , the Cancer Centre @ PHKL has continued to provide state-of-the-art equipment such as the Gamma Knife , PET-CT scans , and MRIs , which help doctors provide an accurate diagnosis and high-quality cancer treatment for patients .
