As the first private hospital in Northern Malaysia to establish a comprehensive nuclear medicine centre , we are proud to offer a wide range of diagnostic and therapy procedures for the benefit of our patients .

This state-of-the-art centre was launched on 13th March 2022 and provides both diagnostic and therapeutic services ; it caters to a multitude of diseases , including cancer and non-cancer-related conditions such as hyperthyroidism , thyroid cancer , lymphomas , bone pain , renal problems , and more . Our centre has become a referral centre for doctors in the region as we are able to provide sought-after services that lead to optimal care for patients .

The Adventist Nuclear Medicine Centre is equipped with cutting-edge technology , including the first SPECT- CT and then latest of its kind scanner installed in a private healthcare setting in Northern Malaysia . This scanner enables us to offer a wide range of health services to patients of all ages , gender and diseases , as ischemic heart disease , kidney disorders , bone and breast tumors , hyperthyroidism , hyperparathyroidism , and many others .

We also take pride in our dedicated radioactive isolation rooms which are equipped with the most advanced radioactive disposal and monitoring system in Malaysia . This state-ofthe-art system is the first of its kind installed in the country . The radioactive isolation rooms are primarily utilised for therapeutic purposes in the treatment of thyroid cancer patients . These installations embody our commitment to ensure our patients receive the best treatment in a safe and efficient manner .

We have installed a new digital PET- CT scanner in the third quarter of 2022 . This significant investment has made

Penang Adventist Hospital the first hospital in Northern Malaysia to have a Digital PET-CT scanner . This cuttingedge technology revolutionizes PET-CT imaging with superior imaging , higher sensitivity and specificity , low radiation exposure , faster scan , and better patient comfort . The introduction of the Digital PET-CT scanner will definitely benefit patients by providing doctors with crucial diagnostic information that can help select the best treatment options .
