Mahkota Medical Centre ( Mahkota ), founded in 1994 , is one of the largest and most comprehensive tertiary private hospitals in Southern Malaysia . Furthermore , it was selected as one of the four finalists for the Flagship Medical Tourism Hospital Programme . Elevating its status further , Mahkota Medical Centre won the GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific award for Medical Tourism Hospital of the Year in Asia-Pacific in 2023 . As one of the pioneer medical tourism players , Mahkota has enhanced its services by having a total of 17 Authorised Representative Offices ( AROs ) in Southeast Asia .
