Prior to his private practice , Dr Terence Lim spent almost two decades in public healthcare . He served as the Senior Consultant and Chief of Department of Urology at Changi General Hospital ( CGH ). He is currently a Visiting Consultant at CGH .

Dr Lim is a strong advocate of improving patients ’ clinical outcomes and safety with technologies and clinical initiatives . Among other appointments , he was the director of CGH ’ s Advanced Surgical Centre , a committee dealing with complex surgeries , including robotic surgeries . He operated on all three generations of the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System and was amongst the first few urologists in Singapore to operate using the latest generation of this technology . To date , he had been involved in over 700 robotic surgeries and was the first in Singapore to perform a Robotassisted Retzius-sparing Prostatectomy . He is appointed Visiting Consultant to CGH and is frequently asked to proctor his colleagues in robotic surgeries .

He is also actively involved in local urology societies and teaches medical students and urology residents and was appointed Associate Professor at Duke-NUS , Yong Loo Lin , and Lee Kong Chian medical schools . Dr Lim is regularly invited to chair and give lectures and presentations at various local and international conferences and has also been invited as a key speaker at international and regional conferences .

Dr Terence Lim and the clinic have been involved in several media features , including publications such as The Straits Times , Expat Living , PRIME Magazine and Lianhe Zaobao ( 联合早 报 ).
