Established in 2008 , Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara ( THKD ) is the flagship hospital of TMC Life Sciences Berhad . It is a multi-disciplinary , multi-award winning tertiary care centre equipped with advanced medical technology and infrastructure to deliver quality , affordable healthcare solutions and a superior experience for our local and international patients .
During the COVID-19 pandemic , THKD swiftly pivoted to offer support to the Malaysian health authorities in combatting this scourge . At the early stage of the outbreak , THKD loaned ventilators to a key infectious disease public hospital . It then moved to more direct involvement in treatment , prevention as well as future crisis preparedness . THKD is the first hospital in the Klang Valley to offer drive-thru COVID-19 testing . It also admits COVID-19 general and ICU inpatients , runs a COVID-19 Assessment and Home Monitoring service , offers post-COVID-19 rehab service and even received nearly 100 decanted non-COVID patients from public hospitals up till mid-October . THKD is also a vaccination centre under the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme and it is currently delivering 1,000 doses of vaccines a day to children aged 12-15 years .
All this has led THKD to win the COVID-19 Health Service Provider of the Year award , for which the hospital was nominated by the Malaysian Ministry of Health and assessed by a panel of judges .
With the vision of being the “ Premier Provider of Outstanding Value-Based Medical Services in South East Asia ,” THKD embarked on an expansion project to triple its capacity . This will make it one of the largest private healthcare institutions
