In this issue , we cover the annual awards gala organised by Global Health Asia-Pacific .
At the event , hospitals and clinics were recognised for their high-quality medical services . Island Hospital in Penang won the Hospital of the Year in Asia-Pacific award while Mahkota Medical Centre and Gleneagles Hospital Penang were recognised as the Medical Tourism Hospital of the Year in Asia- Pacific .
Many other hospitals were awarded for their excellent services in many medical specialities , including cardiology , paediatrics , oncology , and orthopaedics .
In addition , several clinics received awards to highlight the pivotal role they play in healthcare along with major hospitals .
Cengild G . I . Medical Centre was crowned the Medical Centre of the Year in Asia-Pacific . Pantai Integrated Rehab won the Physiotherapy and Integrated Rehabilitation Centre of the Year in Asia-Pacific and Dr . Christina , Couple , Marriage & Family Therapy received the Psychotherapy Clinic of the Year in Asia-Pacific .
The event provided an occasion for participants to get some insights into healthcare trends and recent research findings and to network with prominent professionals in the medical field .
