OUR FUTURE
Island Hospital is presently embarking on the development of Island Medical City ( IMC ), an integrated medical complex spanning nearly 2 million square feet . IMC will not only increase the total bed capacity to over 1,000 but will also encompass 380 medical suites and a 440-room hotel catering specifically to medical tourism .
Additionally , IMC will include expanded centers of excellence in Orthopaedics , Gastroenterology , General Surgery , Cardiology , Oncology , Neurosciences , Ambulatory Care , Health Screening , Aesthetics , Digestive Health , Preventative Medicine , and Fertility . This strategic expansion is a crucial element in enhancing the hospital ' s role as a significant contributor to Malaysia ' s healthcare travel sector .
